The Practical Guide to Patchwork By Elizabeth Hartman
My dear Grandpa Bob bought me this intriguing quilting book! It is the most informative and thoughtfully layed out book on quilting I have ever seen! It is full of helpful tips and thoughts. I am so new to this quilting journey, so have no room to say much, but this book and site seem to be the best!
On going to her blog... http://www.ohfransson.com/ I found some BEAUTIFUL quilts!
Look at this one!!... http://www.ohfransson.com/oh_fransson/2011/01/tokyo-subway-map-quilt-is-finished.html See how intricate and stunning it is!!
I can actually see myself making this one in the near future... http://www.ohfransson.com/oh_fransson/2010/02/crazy-ninepatch-lattice-quilt.html I love the shape! In the book there is one called, "Sunspot" which is like the "Crazy Ninepatch Lattice" in that the pieces inside the squares are tilted and make each square look not square, when in reality they are. :)
I found this site on her site. I'm putting it here so I dont loose it. I want to go back and look more at it. http://www.flickr.com/groups/dogoodstitches/
