I am really 'getting into' quilting... or planning to 'get into it'. :) I entered a quilt square exchange earlier in the year and am about finished with the quilt, my first, in fact. :) But I will dedicate a whole post to that later...
I just ran across a site that sells super beautiful fabrics, Hawthorne Threads. They charge about $8.00 a yard (hey!! $6.99 on sale!!) :), but once you see the fabric deigns and colors you will see why! I am fairly stingy with my money, and yet I can see myself ordering from them, for a special gift, sometime. :)
Anyway! They sell quilt kits. I have been thinking of making myself a butterfly cover for my down comforter, and love this pattern... http://www.clothworkstextiles.com/pdfs/patterns/lejardindepapillonsquilt.pdf It is SO beautiful!! I love the fact that it is free! Hawthorne Threads selles a kit for making it, and thought I love everything about it, I may buy other fabric for my first time around. Wouldnt it be dreadful (truly would cause me dread) if I were to mess up on such beautiful expensive fabric!!
This post in mainly meant to keep all this info in one place so I can locate it. I have been looking around and found some really neat sites and blogs an quilting!! The designs of some quilts boggle my mind!! SO advanced and looks complected, but fun and rewarding as well. :)
